Genesis 2:18 says, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." In Hebrew a help meet is an Ezer Kenegdo. There are three instances in the Bible where an Ezer is mentions. The first mention is pertaining to a woman. The second mention is pertaining to nations who Israel went to for help. The third mention is in regards to God helping Israel. The word Ezer is defined as a succour in the Strong's Concordance. A succour is defined as one who gives assistance and support in times of hardship and distress. It is one who runs to the rescue of another. A help meet runs to rescue her husband in a time of trouble. She is his right hand. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.Ezekiel 11:16 says, "Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come." In Hebrew a little sanctuary is called a Mikdash Me'at. The Hebrew people regard their homes as a little sanctuary. A house is not just a place to live, as a Follower of the Way your home is a small sanctuary in which the Holy Spirit dwells, prayers are offered up, Shabbat meals are shared and love is the foundation.
